Snapshot

Participants are provided with a framework that promotes self awareness and that incorporates the two key mechanisms for insight – self reflection
and feedback from others.

This is the ideal option if you want you delegates to develop the skills to have honest and authentic discussions – that should, but usually aren’t, happening in the workplace,– in a safe and constructive environment.

Setting the scene – the activity

Unlike our other programs, Through the Window TM starts with a workshop style learning session rather than a themed activity.

Participants learn a
framework and strategies to:

  • Self-reflect
  • Hear feedback from fellow participants
  • Provide feedback to fellow participants

They learn to recognise the
difference between their intentions and their impact and engage with the way they impact the people around them.

With the framework and strategies as a foundation, participants engage in authentic conversations, having discussions that should be everyday occurrences in the workplace, but rarely are.

They also practise and develop skills in providing feedback to the other participants. As the activity progresses, nerves give way to laughter as participants lean into the opportunity to learn about themselves and each other – all in a safe and supportive environment.

Making it count – the debrief

This activity itself it packed with learning, and most of the insights occur along the way.

The debrief is a short summary of the key outcomes – with a focus on reflection for growth, sitting with uncomfortable, and having authentic conversations.

Each participant identifies the personal insights they will act on, and develops specific and actionable strategies to implement those insights in their everyday life.

The Logistics -

Time: 1½ hours to 4 hours, which varies according to group size.

Numbers: We recommend a minimum group size of 4 people, and a maximum of 20. The activity can be scaled to have multiple groups working concurrently and we can cater for large numbers.
